Manicure Monday: St. Patrick’s Day Edition

1I need to gush about how much I love Jamberry wraps around the holidays. Yes sure they have amazing nail lacquers and gel polishes, but, as much as I try to do the cute designs such as hearts, anchors, christmas trees, santas, spider webs, skeletons, turkeys, four leaf clovers …. and sooometimes succeed, I can never ever do my own right hand, because, I’m right handed (obviously). I loooove decorating nails according to the season, and each time a holiday rolls around, I stock up on each holiday wrap that Jamberry releases for that holiday. Hey – I figure if there are four weeks in the month, and four wraps for that holiday – you get where I’m going with this! 🙂

Okay, so, I was a bit late to the game with St. Patrick’s day because we bought our first house! We closed on 2.26.16 and have been ridiculously busy moving, cleaning, repairing… BUT I’ll still show you the wraps I have that I’ll either use next week, maybe on my toes, or, save them for next year! My dear Momma’s birthday is on St. Patrick’s Day, so I cut all my St. Patty’s Day sheets in half and sent a half of each sheet to her! ❤ (a sheet does 2 manicures & 2 pedicures with 8 extra accent nail wraps)

The week of St. Patty’s Day I wore the Bit O’ Luck wraps which have matte and metallic colors and feature three different designs. The metallic wraps, which are like foils (like a thin layer of foil and a thin layer of stickiness), are trickier for most people to apply without wrinkles, but, I’ve found that if you really tug (like you would saran/cling wrap) and use the warmth of your fingers to really press and massage the wrap on and smooth around the edges, the foils almost go on better than wraps that are clear, matte, etc. and (for me) last longer!

Do you do your nails (or get your nails done) for St. Patty’s Day? Post a pic in the comments below! 🙂

Manicure Monday: Jamberry Eerie Nights

A

The countdown to Halloween begins!!!

12 DAYS LEFT!

This week’s manicure brings you right into the Halloween mood with a graveyard design. Jamberry has the coolest wraps including some of these that look like metallic foil. This wrap is called Eerie Nights and was featured in my first Jamberry Giveaway of the month, featuring Johnny Depp! The foil/metallic wraps seem to be a little trickier to apply, but I’ve noticed that minimal heat and massaging the wraps down with your bare fingers work the best (versus more heat and applying with the Jamberry tools, such as the cuticle pusher and the orange stick). Do you like it!?!?!

I am excited to do another Halloween manicure next week and then we’ll be getting into Fall/Thanksgiving patterns! See you next week with my last Halloween manicure of 2015!! I’ll be using Jamberry’s Itsby Bitsy wraps, they’re a matte Black with silver spiders & webs!

Have you entered my Jamberry giveaway yet!? The drawing is on Nov. 1st but there are plenty of games until then with extra prizes! Click here!

As you probably know, I paint my nails and my friends’ all the time, and I collect Essie. I can honestly tell you that Jamberry wraps WORK, they are LEGIT, and I’d sell them myself if four or five of my friends didn’t sell them already 😀

I always keep my favorite Jamberry patterns on hand (usually ones that I can’t paint on myself) & sometimes I only wrap a few fingers and I use my Essie polishes to switch up the rest of the manicure. As you can see below, right now I have a blue theme going on, with Essie blues on my four fingers and a Jamberry peacock wrap on my thumb. Early last week, I had the same peacock thumb and all purple nails. A day or two ago, I had a green/turquoise, which you can see a few pictures down 💅🏻

The immediate picture below shows my nails at this very moment! 11:54pm where I am. A peacock feather Jamberry wrap on my thumb, hanging on like a champ, and two of my other four nails, painted with Essie polishes, have chipped already 😯

These below are just a few of my favorites in my collection!!

I was skeptical of Jamberry wraps at first. I probably would would have even bet money that they’d start to lift after a day or two. I only bought a pack to support a girl friend.

I tried them for the first time on my mom’s toes, my nails, & my aunt’s nails this summer, & they held up for A MONTH – longer than our regular polish – through all the boating, swimming, beach-going, walking, etc. These were our summer/patriotic nails, below!

Manicure Monday: Essie’s Sunday Funday & Bikini So Teeny

I got this inspiration from a fellow instagrammer, Stunninbmwnails, I’ll post her post below! Thank you!! I was drawn to the contrasting colors. I decided to do a simpler version than Stunninbmwnails and just put some sparkle on the middle finger, I used Essie’s Sparkle On Top. I love the two colors, Essie’s Sunday Funday (pink) and Bikini So Teeny (blue), because they are soooo close to being one coat wonders, & they go on nicely. The colors are quickly opaque, which you know I love. The blue, Bikini So Teeny, is one of my favorite summer colors!! Love the way is applies and self levels. I used Stickey by CND as my base coat. I topped it with my favorite Seche Vite Quick Dry Top Coat and enjoyed it all week!!

xoxo
